Today I went to the Middle School band room to pick my instrument! I was choosing between Trumpet and Saxophone and it took me a couple minutes before I decided I loved the Trumpet, and I could play it really good already! I'll be able to help Mom wake up my brothers for school if they're in a sleeping mood and won't get up! I'll be in the Marching Band in the parade for the Middle School Band(my Dad says its called the JV or something!!)!!!! I know I'll love the Trumpet and that it will be really fun being in the Marching Band and everything!!

Congratulations on choosing the trumpet! I love the brass instruments (even though I played the flute). The trumpet will be a great way to wake up your brothers, but NOT your mother or father! (or dog). Marching in the parades is a lot of fun. I think you'll love band, too, and you'll make a lot of good friends there.
I think you chose a great instrument.
Just remember to practice!! Some days you will not feel like it, but just keep pushing through and you will get better and better!!
If you have an instrument you enjoy - you will really love band! I loved band - and it sounds like you are ready to go, and pumped up!
Music is something that you will enjoy your entire life - and work on that "reveille" song to wakeup the house members. SO excited for you!
